Ward 4 - Norma Lang

Norma Lang, Trustee for Ward 4, is currently in her third term,
initially elected in 2010. Ward 4 represents schools inCrossfield, Irricana, Beiseker, Kathyrn and rural Airdrie areas. The Ward also represents the Fairview, South Beiseker and West Haven Colonies.

Norma came to her role as a school trustee after serving two terms as a municipal-elected official with the Town of Crossfield. During this time, she had the opportunity to network with other nearby communities like Beiseker and Irricana, and thereby developed an interest to serve the larger north Rocky View community, which grew into an interest in public school trusteeship.

Norma holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary. She is currently working part-time with the Town of Crossfield. Previously, she worked as a business analyst for The City of Calgary and as a community building coordinator for the Town of Drumheller.

In a volunteer capacity, Norma dedicates time as a parent leader for the Airdrie Helping Hands 4-H Multi Club and as a director for the Crossfield Day Camp. She also serves as a volunteer for the Crossfield Baptist Church Sunday School Program.

Norma enjoys outdoor pursuits, travel, community building, family time and her church.

Norma lives in Crossfield with her husband, owner of CP Wood Gallery, and their two children who presently attend W.G. Murdoch in Crossfield.
